Since its foundation in 1975, as a government-funded research institute, KRISS has carried out the missions stated in Constitution of the Republic of Korea. As the National Metrology Institute (NMI) representing Korea, KRISS has provided the foundation for the advancement of science and technology(S&T) through the establishment of national measurement standards, R&D of measurement technologies, and dissemination of national measurement standards. KRISS strives to contribute to strengthen national S&T and industrial competitiveness as well as to pursuit a better quality of life. UST-KRISS School aims to cultivate innovative scientists who will lead the 4th industrial revolution. Students of UST-KRISS School carry out national research projects with the faculty composed the best experts in each field. UST-KRISS School provides students with demand-oriented curriculum, cutting-edge facilities, and welfare services so that students can concentrate on their study and research.
